HCS4200 family

The SIPLUS HCS4200 heating control system controls and switches heat emitters and other resistive loads in industrial environments in a range of voltages: 45 V AC, 70 V AC, 110 V AC, 230 V AC, 277 V AC, 400 V AC, and 480 V AC.

Communication takes place over PROFINET or PROFIBUS and, in combination with SIMATIC S7, SIMOTION or an industrial PC, forms a high-performance, state-of-the-art automation system. The modular, compact and space-saving distributed I/O system can be individually adapted to suit the application.

Significant space and wiring savings thanks to integration of all the individual components required for controlling electrical heating elements.

Control of the loads with percentage accuracy.

Simple integration into the automation network via the TIA Portal (Totally Integrated Automation) engineering framework.

Early location of faults thanks to detailed diagnostics functions, even with heating elements connected in parallel.

Display of diagnostics data in the SIMATIC Web server.

Integrated protection of the heating elements (supply circuit) in open fuse holders.

The main components of the SIPLUS HCS4200 heating control system are:

Rack for accommodating up to 12 Power Output Modules.

Central Interface Module (CIM) for communication with the higher-level PLC and for internal communication within the HCS network.

Central Interface Module (CIM) compact version with 2 slots for Power Output Module for communication with the higher-level PLC and for internal communication in the HCS network.

Power Output Module (POM) for controlling the heating elements.

Optional fan module for heat dissipation from 4 Power Output Modules (POM).

Optional IO modules for inserting into the Central Interface Module (CIM).

Communication via PROFINET, PROFIBUS or EtherNET/IP, for example, with SIMATIC S7, SIMOTION, or Industrial PC
